An Espresso Macchiato (pronounced “Mah-key-yaah-toe”) is not as complicated as it sounds. “Macchiato” is Italian for “Marked”, meaning that the Espresso is Marked with properly Stretched (not "foamed") Milk in quantities ranging from a spoonful to an even ratio of Espresso to Milk (the latter being our method of choice). If you enjoy a good cappuccino but they seem to have lost their “oomph”, try an Espresso Macchiato, you won’t regret it! Our Australian friends have named this drink the “Flat-White”, which for some reason seems to have stuck.
Perfectly stretched chrome-like milk blends beautifully with Double Espresso Shots, and serving choices are double (or more) served in an 8oz cup.
